Throughout this project, advisory and support services were provided to the Geographical Directorates and Technical Cooperation Offices in the countries of intervention on the management cycle and Budget Support operations, including support in the formulation of operations. Capacities at headquarters and in the field were strengthened in the area of budget support. Within the framework of the project, the AECID’s Technical Guide on Programmatic Aid was updated, and Technical Notes were prepared on various subjects, such as the configuration of fixed and variable tranches in the framework of Budget Support operations and Public Financial Management.
