This project brings technical assistance to the Government of Tanzania in their implementation of the first Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability (PEFA) Assessment on Gender Responsive in Public Financial Management (PFM). The assessment seeks to provide the GoT with an independent analysis of the status and progress of the implementation of gender in the PFM systems. Specifically, findings will provide information on the degree to which PFM systems address the government’s goals with regards to acknowledging different needs of men and women, and different subgroups within these categories; the dialogue on gender in PFM between Government and Development Partners;  and how to plan for inputs on the programming of interventions for PFM reforms beyond the current PFM Reform Program.
