objective of modernising the fiscal and debt management administration of the Municipality of Guatemala as a whole. As specific objectives, the project aimed to\n<ol>\n \t<p align=\"justify\" ><li>Increase tax collection of own municipal revenues.<\/li>\n \t<p align=\"justify\" ><li>Improve the profile of municipal public indebtedness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p align=\"justify\" >The project helped to rationalise current expenditure, reorganise the tax administration process and the management of municipal debt and unaccounted social security liabilities and contingencies. It contributed to strengthening the capacity to manage new public debt to leverage new investments in the
