New framework contract: UNCDF Technical Support for Climate Change Adaptation Mainstreaming and Local Development

The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) has selected the consortium participated by Mancala and led by GlobalCAD as one of the providers of “Technical Support for Climate Change Adaptation Mainstreaming and Local Development” to the Local Climate Adaptive Living (LoCAL) facility.

New consultancy for the measurement and reporting of risks related to Public-Private Partnerships in Latin America

The Inter-American Development Bank has commissioned and financed this consultancy which aims to contribute to the improvement of risk management associated with public-private financing in five countries in the Latina America and Caribbean region (to be selected during the consultancy). From February to August 2020 Mancala will participate in the project as part of the consortium led by the company Ikons.
 
The consultancy will work to: generate technical knowledge adjusted to the needs of the public sector; develop methodologies to measure the main sovereign risks linked to PPP projects and design strategies to improve the reporting of the referred risks/contingencies.

Mid Term Evaluation of the REM Program Vision Amazonia Colombia

During the months of January to May 2020, it will be undertaken the mid-term evaluatio of the “REM Program Visión Amazonía Colombia”. The evaluation will be implemented enterely by Mancala.

The evaluated program supports the efforts made by the Colombian government in the sustainable management of its tropical forests. It is part of the "Joint Declaration of Intention" (DCI) signed between the governments of Colombia, Great Britain, Norway and Germany to cooperate in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD +) and to promote sustainable development in Colombia.

The general objective of the mid-term evaluation is to evaluate the progress made in achieving the objectives and results in the medium term, to highlight the lessons learned in view of the new and innovative approach of the REM Colombia Program and to give recommendations on how to improve the action in the remaining time in order to meet the expected objectives and results.
