The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has awarded a consultancy to the consortium integrated by Mancala for the design and development of an online training plan on PPP (Public-Private Partnership) projects for a group of officials from the Municipality of San José and the Ministry of Finance of Costa Rica. From April to June 2021 Mancala will participate in this project, as part of the consortium led by PIAPPEM.
In this project we will work on the development of a didactic methodology to ensure meaningful understanding of the application and adaptation of PPP frameworks for technical teams and decision makers. We will also participate in the co-creation of theoretical and practical material that conveys the full cycle of PPP management and the design and implementation of training and evaluation exercises to measure the level of understanding.
Mancala has been awarded with the contract for services "Complementary measures - Support for the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Colombia", financed by the European Union. This program is part of the Annual Indicative Programming –MIP- 2018-2020 and the technical assistance that the EU provides to the Government of Colombia.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to a better coordinated and more effective implementation of EU cooperation, improving the impact of interventions on the eradication of extreme poverty in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals.
In particular, the actions will seek to support national public policies in strategic areas of intervention in matters of Public Finance Management, Decentralization and subnational governments; Competitiveness and Improvement of the business climate; Gender policies; Digitization and digital gaps, in order to strengthen capacities and increase social cohesion for a sustainable development in the country.
Mancala is the main technical partner of the consortium led by B&S Europe that will manage this contract of three years' duration, starting in January 2021.
Under the LoCAL Programme, the UNCDF has commissioned and financed this consultancy to develop the Uganda Country Report on Climate risk and vulnerability assessment identifying and mapping climate risk, exposure and vulnerability hotspots at local levels (district level). From November 2020 to June 2021 Mancala will participate in the project as part of the consortium led by GlobalCAD.
For this assignment, we will focus on the prioritization of climate change adaptation actions and investments based on quantified and scientific-based analysis, updating NDCs and defining main adaptation targets and actions in synergy with boosting and accelerating SDGs achievement.
